Membership has its benefits

Membership means you’re never alone. You’ll have ongoing access to other members via Slack for client referrals, tax questions, general support and more.

If you are an active member who is currently accepting clients, you will be offered a website page to provide your bio and company profile.

Depending on your background, you can either provide mentorship to other members or request it for yourself. All members with a minimum 3 years of experience will be required to offer mentorship annually.

Continuing education options are not currently available. Continue checking back for upcoming events and information.

To be considered for MTEA membership you must:

  • Be military affiliated

  • Hold a professional tax certification

  • Work primarily or explicitly with military taxpayers

  • Agree to following Treasury Department Circular 230
  • Be invited by a current MTEA member in good standing

  • Have a minimum 4 years of professional tax experience
